My CVS Scenario ($3.45 OOP with $3.99 in ECB’s left)

I started this week with $2.00 in ECB’s to use. I ended up spending $2.45 OOP, got 8 items and left with $3.99 in ECB’s still! If you don’t know what an ECB is, please read my CVS 101 post here. Anyway, I ended up doing 7 transactions and was happy to get a nice young man for my cashier who happily played the CVS game right with me!

Transaction 1
Revlon Nail Polish, On sale for $3.99 and get back $3.00 in ECB’s
Used $1.00 coupon from 4/26 newspaper
Used $2.00 in ECB’s that I had from previous week
Paid $1.12 OOP, got $3.00 in ECB’s

Transaction 2
Colgate Total Advanced, On sale for $2.99, get $2.00 back in ECB’s
Used $1.00 printable coupon

Glade Fragrance Collection soy candle, On sale for $4.99
Used $4.00 coupon from 5/3 newspaper

Used $3.00 in ECB’s from Transaction 1 (adjusted to $2.98 which is the pre-tax total)
Paid $.33 OOP, got $2.00 in ECB’s

Band-Aids, 40 count, On sale for $2.99, get back $2.00 ECB’s
Used $1 coupon from 4/26 newspaper
Used $2.00 ECB’s from Transaction 2
Paid nothing OOP

Transaction 4

Used $1 coupon from 4/26 newspaper

You can also get Tums for free this week if you got a $2 off coupon for them on a previous receipt. There was a $1 off coupon in the paper recently. Added to the $2 CRT, the Tums are free!
