GameFilm Consultants

by Nicole on June 11, 2009

GameFilm Consultants is yet another great and legit mystery shopping company. If you are new to mystery shopping, make sure to read my Mystery Shopping 101 post here and to check out all my recommended mystery shopping companies here.

I have completed a series of telephone mystery shops with GameFilm and was paid timely via PayPal. These are the only telephone mystery shops I have ever done and I loved how convenient it was to do them from home. I received a fee for each call made and they each only took a few minutes. The questionnaire was straightforward and simple and the scheduler I dealt with was friendly and responsive.

GameFilm does not have many shops in my area but when I click on other states I see some great opportunities for people. Because I have signed a confidentiality agreement with GameFilm I cannot disclose their clients but can tell you that they have some good shops in many areas.

As always, it’s FREE to sign up with the mystery shopping companies I post about on Nicole’s Nickels and there is no obligation for you to ever accept a shop once you’ve signed up.

Gamefilm Consultants is a great company to work with! I have been performing shops with them for over a year now. The shop fees aren't that great, but you usually get to eat a great meal at a great price and they reimburse you for the meal. This is a great way to have a "date night" with your spouse, or take someone out for their birthday! I love their shops!

I have completed 2 shops for them and have not been paid yet but they have great shops and the evaluations are easy. I just don’t like getting paid via paypal.

I have done one mystery shop with them and they refused to pay me, despite the 10/10 rating I got on the shop. They said they sent me an email that I had to respond to in order to be paid, which is NOT what they said when I signed up. I will never do another shop with them.

Erin, did you ask them how you received a 10/10 rating if you did not respond to an email they sent you? It seems that if they emailed you it would have been about something that was not complete on your survey meaning you could not have received a 10/10 rating. I am getting nervous now about not being paid because my rating was only a 9/10 on both of my assignments. How long ago did you perform this shop?

I think I received a 9/10 on a shop with them and was paid. I haven’t ever had a problem being paid from them but haven’t done a shop in a few months as there aren’t any really in my area.

They basically said that they sent me the confirmation email and once I got it I was supposed to click to confirm. I never got the email and they won’t respond to my emails. So I gave up on them.

Plus, I already didn’t like the fact that the name of the location was hidden until I was assigned to it.

I have also done a shop for gamefilm consultants and not been paid; it has been several months now and they will not respond to my emails. Looks like this is a trend for this company. Has anyone had any success in getting paid from them? I also received a 10/10 rating.

I’ve done nearly 800 shops for this company, many of them phone shops. Personally, I like working for them. They have always paid me right on time, and faster than many other companies I work for. (Shops completed in one month are paid by PayPal on the 21st of the next month.) They just changed their name to Reality Based Group.
