My transaction:

I am going to post a separate post with my tips for doing the photo book efficiently! I had my $10.00 ECB’s from the glasses wipes deal that expire this week and I wanted to spend them. Here’s what I got:

Papermate Grip Pens 8ct, On Sale $.99 Get $.99 ECB’s

Paid just $1.17 out of pocket and received $9.97 back in ECB’s to spend in future weeks!

Newbie Transaction
If you’re new to CVS and don’t have any ECB’s but want to start, here is a scenario for just $3.99 out of pocket (OOP) plus tax that nets you 24 items! Remember, you don’t have to do these transactions at one time, you can keep going back to the store (these transactions rely on the 3 day sale items so go back between now and Tuesday night). If there is a line behind you, be polite and let the others go before you hold up the line with all of these transactions! Remember, this scenario is good only Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday!

Transaction 1
Caliber/CVS 3 Subject 120 sheets or 5 Subject 180 sheets, On Sale $3.99 Get $3.99 ECB’s
Pay $3.99 plus tax and get $3.99 ECB’s

Transaction 2
Repeat Transaction 1 but use the $3.99 ECB’s you got from Transaction 1 to pay
Paid 0 out of pocket

Transaction 3
Caliber/CVS It’s Academic 5″ pointed or blunt tip scissors, On Sale $2.99 Get $2.99 ECB’s
Caliber/CVS 1 subject 70-80 sheets, On Sale $.99 Get $.99
Use your $3.99 ECB’s from Transaction 2 to pay
Paid 0 out of pocket

Transaction 4
Repeat Transaction 3 but use the ECB’s you got from Transaction 3 to pay
Paid 0 out of pocket

Transaction 5
Caliber/CVS School Glue 5oz, On Sale $.99 Get $.99

You don't actually get $3.99 back in ECB's from the Caliber/CVS 3 Subject 120 sheets or 5 Subject 180 sheets. You receive $3 ECB. That is the one school supply you do have to pay something for, though it is a great deal! There are other great deals at CVS also…http://minnesotacouponadventure.blogspot.com/2009/07/cvs-deals-july-12th-free-school.html

Here in Texas, around Dallas, I can use an ECB for the same item I purchased before (as in repeat transaction 1), but we DO NOT get another ECB on that same item. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Anonymous: CVS policy is national. Sometimes it is possible to get ECB's on the second transaction – it depends what the offer limit is. Say that toothpaste is on sale for $2.99 and tyou get $2.00 in ECB's (just an example) and the limit in the ad is 2. You can buy the toothpaste and then use the ECB's to buy another toothpaste and more ECB's will print out because you are allowed to do the deal 2 times as per the offer limit! Make sense?

from Anonymous in Texas (only because I can't remember my google sign on info!! Thanks for that information Nicole!! I made the mistake of trying it once (on a one limit item) and got scared and never got near it again!! I appreciate the information and will hopefully remember it!
