$10 of Junior Apparel at Sears for FREE – Hot Deal!

by Nicole on September 14, 2009

If you get Seventeen Magazine at home, make sure to pull all of the coupons from it before you throw it away! The hottest coupon is on the inside front cover and it’s for $10 off when you spend $10 on junior apparel at Sears. For the time being, there is also a printable coupon for the same $10.00 off to be used in the store. Hopefully Sears keeps the coupon up until the 11/14 expiration date! Use the scenario below for cash back when you buy online and then pick up in store you’re getting an even better deal because of the cash back!

The good news is that you can use the code (17SEARSAPPAREL) online starting tomorrow, 9/15 until 11/14.

The even better news is that when you shop through the cash back shopping site, Shop at Home, you’ll get 4% back on your purchase. PLUS, if you find an item that is in stock in your store, you can purchase it online and then pick it up in the store.

A quick search of junior clearance items in the intimate category shows several different types of really cute socks, marked down under $4.00 and knit pajama bottoms (cute ones like Tinkerbell or Betty Boop) for under $10.00 which would make them FREE with this coupon!

A quick recap of the deal, maximized to its potential:
*Log in to Shop at Home (register for FREE and get $5 if you’re new to it)
*Search “sears” and then click to shop through to Sears – make sure it’s not the Canadian Sears.
*I clicked juniors, then clearance, then intimates and found a lot of options
*Choose items totaling at least $10 and make sure they are in stock and available at your store.
*Use coupon code 17SEARSAPPAREL
*Choose to pick up in store
*Get 4% cash back on your purchase
*Enjoy FREE or very cheap items!

A big thanks to Coupon Dad for telling me about this great deal!

Hello friends, I just wanted to let everyone know that the mentioned coupon for $10 off juniors clothing at Sears is unfortunately not honored by Sears. I was there today and the Indian River Mall and they will ONLY honor coupons from Seventeen Magazine…grrrr! Dianna

Dianna: Did you ask to speak to the manager about the coupon? It is from the Sears site so I hope you fought to have it accepted. I don't think it's fair though to say that the coupon is not honored by Sears based on your experience at one store.

Nicole, After seeing a sign posted at the register stating they do not accept internet coupons I did actually actually ask to speak to a manager…and she only offered me a 15% discount instead since I was very disappointed hearing that my coupon would not be honored. And she added that ALL SEARS did not honor these. So, I'm not being unfair in letting everyone know…this is not an isolated incident if the manager informed me this effects ALL Sears stores.

I was only posting the blog to prevent others of driving to their Sears store and being disappointed…and I get told I'm being unfair for trying to help people? Go figure. I guess I won't be blogging anymore since my trying to help is getting the wrong response.

Dianna: You took my response the wrong way. I'm always hesitant when I get emails thanking me for a deal and then one reader who says it didn't work for her and therefore won't work for anyone. I've been researching the deal more online since you first commented and I can see the coupon is working for most people. The coupon comes right from the Sears website so why would they put it on there if none of their stores would accept it? Other blogs and deals sites are filled with people sharing the great deals they got with the printable coupon. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it in Vero. Perhaps a call to Sears corporate would resolve the issue and your local store would start honoring its own coupons! Instead of discouraging people to go out to their local store to try to use the coupon, I think it's best to focus on how to educate store managers and personnel about couponing and not to be so quick to tell us we can't use a coupon – especially one that comes right from their site!

I've seen that Sears isn't taking the internet coupons as well. Thanks for letting us know, Dianna. And don't give up blogging.
