Target & Walmart Deals

by Nicole on September 15, 2009

I regularly shop at Target at Walmart but don’t post match-ups for these stores. Should I? I guess I’m asking your opinion. Email me or leave a comment if you want to see match-ups for these stores.

I am planning a weekend trip to both stores and realized my envelopes are full of either FREEBIES or major cheapies so I wanted to share.

Coupon shopping at Target either goes perfectly for me or is a disaster that ends with me calling their corporate number and lots of frustration. The good news is that Target’s coupon policy is now online. It specifically states you can use a Target coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon per item. The bad news is that it doesn’t specify what the heck the “limit one offer per transaction” language on Target coupons means…

Target has a few great weekly deals and also some older deals that are still valid. I’ll include some of the best deals here:

Pop-Tarts Whole Grain Brown Sugar Cinnamon
Buy 2
Use 2 of the $1.00 Target Printable
1 of the $2.00 off 2 Kellogg’s brand with fiber products from 8/30 RP
Final Cost: Likely FREE!

Wishbone Salad Dressing, 2 for $3.00
Use $.75/1 Wishbone printable coupon
Use $.75/2 Target printable
Final Cost: $.76 for 2

Market Pantry String Cheese, $.50
Use $1 off 2 Target Printable
Final Cost: FREE

Thanks, Stretching a Buck!

Crystal Light – 3 pack drink mixes found at the checkout, $.99
Buy 2 packages
Use the $2.00 off 2 Crystal Light coupon from the 9/13 SS
Final Cost: FREE

Chef Michaels Dog Food, Dry, $4.36
Use the $3.00 coupon from the 8/23 RP (or the $2.50 printable coupon)
Use the $1.50 Target Printable coupon
Final Cost: FREE

Chef Michaels Dog Food, Wet, $.89
Use the BOGO coupon from the 8/23 RP
Use the BOGO Target printable
Final Cost: FREE

Thanks, Attention Target Shoppers!

I never have a problem with coupons at my local Walmart but I sometimes hear of people with issues. Calmly ask to speak to the manager and if you don’t get anywhere try to call corporate right from the store. Usually, issues can be sorted out that way. Walmart’s deals tend to be longer-term than just weekly store deals so here are a few of the best:

Yo Baby 3 in 1 Meals, $1.00
Use $1.00 printable coupon
Final Cost: FREE

Johnson’s Buddy Soap Bars, $.97
Use the $1.00 coupon from the 9/13 RP
Final Cost: FREE

Thai Kitchen products, price varies, as low as $1.00
Use the $1.00 printable coupon
Final Cost: As low as FREE

Hartz Cat Treats, $1.87
Use the $2.00 coupon from the 8/30 SS
Final Cost: FREE

McCormick Spices, as low as $1.18
Use the $1.00 printable coupon
Final Cost: as low as $.18

Thanks, Hip2Save!

RP is Red Plum and SS is Smartsource – they are the names on the front of the inserts that come in the Sunday paper. Hope that helps.
