Trident Layers Gum: Review & Hot Deal!

by Nicole on October 8, 2009

I recently received several packs of the new Trident Layers gum to try and let you all know what I thought about it. I was happy to try these fruit flavored gums because I’m not a fan of mint gums at all. I always go for the fruit flavored varities.

The first thing I noticed was the cool packaging. This is like the grown-up version of the sugary fruity gums we had as a kid. The gum is interesting in that each piece is thicker than normal Trident gum and has 3 distinct layers in it. The middle layer is a gooey candy like layer that sticks to the package a little bit. I found the gum to last for a long time and maintain its chewiness and pliability. It still had flavor long after I expected it to. Overall, the green apple and golden pineapple variety was my favorite of the two. Both gums are sugarless and are less than 5 calories per piece. This is gum that definitely satisfies a sweet craving. A few times now, I have had it when I was craving dessert and it worked! The wild strawberry and tangy citrus variety is also good and the middle candyish layer is a citrus burst!

You can try this gum for FREE this month at Walgreens. You’ll need to print 2 of these printable coupons. Then go to Walgreens and buy 2 of the Trident Layers gum. You can buy one of each flavor or 2 of the same kind, whatever you wish. Then present the cashier with the 2 coupons. You’ll pay just $.50 out of pocket (gum is each $1, so $2 for 2, less the 2 $.75 off coupons). The best part is that you’ll get a Register Reward for $1.00 back! So you spent $.50 and got back $1.00. I’d say that’s a great deal!
