January Online Offers

by Nicole on January 28, 2010

Here is January’s online offers post! For those of you who are new, I have posted extensive directions on how to complete these offers.

Please, you MUST read the previous posts (here, here, and here) I have written about these offers very carefully – also read the comments left on those posts (as well as all the posts under the tag “online offers”) as those serve kind of as “frequently asked questions” that I respond to as well. If you have any questions, email or leave a comment. It’s better to ask the question than to do something you aren’t sure of and have it result in an unsuccessful offer.

It is very possible to be successful with these offers! Remember, you can only earn $1,000 in prizes from each Ideal sub-company (i.e. Bullseye, 123, etc.) so choose wisely! At the time of the posting of this, none of the offers posted required referrals. Offers can change at any time so be sure to review the terms and conditions before registering! FYI – I am hearing of people getting disqualified because they did an offer that was $500 plus a T-shirt and then when they do another $500 offer with the same sub-company are disqualified because they have technically done over $1,000 with that sub-company as the T-shirt has value! Be careful with these technicalities!

None of the offers below required referrals at the time I posted but the terms can change so check carefully. Some of the $500 offers are now 2-2-8 instead of 2-2-4 so please make sure to read your terms and conditions before signing up! Also, I am receiving some reader comments and emails that they are getting calls from telemarketers after signing up for some offers. I have never had this experience but did want to make everyone aware of this.

Do you have any of the free macbook offers?

2 nicolesnickels January 28, 2010 at 6:59 pm

The free macbook offers all require referrals. I don’t post these but if you wanted me to send you a link I could, just that you understand that you need to refer 2 unique people who complete all the offers as well.

Hello Again. About 4 months ago my account was placed on hold because of the whole T-shirt worth $20 thing. I was wondering if I am able to ever able to complete any more offers through Top Notch or am I disqualified? I have emailed them but they always send a generic reply. Thanks

4 nicolesnickels January 29, 2010 at 1:24 pm

I don’t know the answer to your question. Why not stay away from Top Notch and do a Bullseye or other offer?

5 Lesly February 1, 2010 at 8:45 pm

OMG!!! thank you thank you thank you. i couldnt believe my eyes when it said my gift card would be here in 6 to 8 weeks!! yay!!
Nicole, I did a Top Notch gift card. When can i do another one? Can i start a Bullseye Media offer now while im waiting for my top notch one to arrive?

6 nicolesnickels February 1, 2010 at 9:07 pm

Depending on the value of the Top Notch offer you did, you could potentially do another Top Notch offer or start an offer under a different sub-company, like Bullseye.

7 Melissa February 2, 2010 at 3:43 pm

Last August I did an offer with E-Research center (Top Notch) and made the mistake of using my main email, I am finally getting rid of the junk. I want to do another one that is a Visa gift card the link on the Bullseye media one will no longer go through so I was going to do another E-research center $500 card. Do I need to use the same email again now that I have already done one through them? I have set up a new email address but I noticed in the terms that the household has to use the same email. What do you suggest?

8 nicolesnickels February 2, 2010 at 3:47 pm

I’d follow the terms and use the same email!

9 Leah February 2, 2010 at 5:53 pm

I read through all of your posts, but wanted to make sure I understood before I started…I had one question.

When you say that you can not complete more than one offer per “parent company,” are you referring to the fact that say, for example, the offer for Disney Book Club & the offer for the Disney Movie Club that are both located in the Silver Offers for one of the gift card may have the same parent company?

10 nicolesnickels February 2, 2010 at 6:38 pm

Yes. Many of the offers are related without it being obvious.

11 My Deal Frenzy February 4, 2010 at 10:35 am

Hey..I just wanted you to know I love online offers. I have already made $2500 in 7 months. I blog about my journey trying to buy a car with online offers. I tried your link for the Bullseye Visa and for some reason it is not coming up. I would love to start that one. Is there a different link?

12 gina February 4, 2010 at 11:04 am

Hi,
I’m about to start. Can u please clear one thing up for me? After I complete my first $500 ideal card with topnotch. Do you recommend doing another $500 with Topnotch or do another $500 with 123, Bulleye ect…. I’m confused about the whole 1000.00 every 6 months

13 Eran February 4, 2010 at 1:02 pm

Let me say first, thank you and I’m sure my problem wouldn’t be a problem if I had listened to you exactly! Though I did MOST of what you suggested, I apparently failed to copy onto my Word doc the web address to start up my offer if I had to stop. Well, last night I had done about 6 of the platinum offers for prize-rewards.net for a $1000 walmart card and had to stop becuase of….well, children. Anyway, I’d like to pick it back up this morning and can’t find where to start it back up. Any ideas???

14 nicolesnickels February 4, 2010 at 6:13 pm

Is that an offer you got from my blog?

15 nicolesnickels February 4, 2010 at 6:14 pm

Either but it’s safer to do a different sub-company.

16 nicolesnickels February 4, 2010 at 6:16 pm

It looks like the link has expired, I’ll look for a new one and let you know.

17 barbara February 4, 2010 at 6:55 pm

I know you can do an offer every 6 months, but is it 6 months from the START of your last offer, or 6 months till the end? Like it takes 3 months from start to finish to do an offer, do I wait 6mons from start or after

18 Eran February 4, 2010 at 8:17 pm

I didn’t it was one I got from the side of facebook. I was reading your stuff & saw it so thought I’d try it! I hate to start over because I’ve already done some, but ofcourse I can just cancel them.

19 nicolesnickels February 5, 2010 at 8:55 am

It’s not clear. I err on the side of caution and do it from the latest date to be certain.

20 nicolesnickels February 5, 2010 at 8:59 am

I can only advise on Ideal offers which are the only offers I post about on my blog. The offer you did is not through Ideal and so I can’t help, sorry!

21 Sariah February 8, 2010 at 12:47 pm

Hello Nicole!
I completed one top notch media gift card last year, and was so excited about it I told my next door neighbor to try it out. She did not have a computer to use so I told her to borrow mine. I am now “on hold” from top notch media because they said that IP Addresses are considered the same address UGH! I was just wondering if I will still be to do offers from other I-Deal companies and if you know how long an account is on hold for. I wouldn’t have let her use my computer if I had known this rule but I should have read the terms and agreements more carefully.

22 nicolesnickels February 8, 2010 at 6:08 pm

Oh, yes, that would DQ you. I am not sure what happens now, that would be up to Ideal. I would assume you can’t do any more offers with Top Notch but I am not sure about the other sub-companies. Have you emailed Ideal?

23 mommaB February 8, 2010 at 10:25 pm

First off, thanks for all your help with this — I can’t imagine the patience you must have!
I finished the requirements for my first Bullseye offer, and it has been two weeks since my delivery confirmation came through. When I check my status on the offer website, it still says approved for everything and congrats with the link to the redemption certificate — will anything look different once my redemption certificate has been processed, or will it all be the same until my gift shows up at my door? I keep expecting something to change…it is crazy, how anxious/excited I am!!!

24 nicolesnickels February 9, 2010 at 6:06 am

It will change to say that your reward has been processed and you should expect delivery in 6-8 weeks. If it’s been 2 weeks since they RECEIVED the certificate (check the delivery confirmation online if you followed my instructions), email them with the tracking number. They will email you back saying that to give them up to 30 days but usually after you email it will change a few days later.

25 Melissa February 12, 2010 at 4:34 pm

I am doing one of the Top Notch offers and noticed after checking out on one of my platinum requirements that they appear to be from the same company. What do you recommend doing? They have already approved and I have done a replacement offer for one of my gold offers today. Will I be disqualified because of this? Thanks!

26 nicolesnickels February 12, 2010 at 4:40 pm

Not much you can do. You aren’t automatically disqualified. Continue to follow the instructions, you won’t know if you are DQ’d until you receive a letter instead of your prize.

27 Momtwoboys February 12, 2010 at 8:47 pm

I just wanted to post a comment regarding the 6 month rule. I emailed Ideal, and they said the 6 months start when they mail the gift card to you. So I would wait at least 6 months from the date you receive your gift card, in order to be on the safe side.

28 Elise February 15, 2010 at 1:22 pm

so even if it says my reward has been processed and I will receive mygc in 6-8 weeks, I can still be DQ via a letter in the mail?

29 nicolesnickels February 15, 2010 at 2:37 pm

Yes.

30 tina February 16, 2010 at 1:22 pm

Hello!
I have been trying for a 500 dollar giftcard. After completing all the offers, I mailed my redemption certificate three weeks ago, but I did not get a tracking number for it. My mail was not returned, but my status has not changed yet from redeeming to processed. The deadline is tomorrow? Should I send in another redemption certificate again via priority?

31 nicolesnickels February 16, 2010 at 6:55 pm

Well, you didn’t use delivery confirmation so you don’t know when (if) they received it and can’t email with the confirmation number like I recommend. I would send it again and this time use delivery confirmation! Make sure not to send it certified or any way that requires a signature though.

32 Barbara February 16, 2010 at 10:46 pm

So I just started the $500 gc thru TopNotch. (e-research.com) was the site offering it. So I go back to check the statuses of my offers, when I notice Referrals Needed: 2. I used the above link you have in this Jan post. Im not sure why they changed it, but now im not sure what to do. Because I’ve started all these offers and was waiting for them to get approved, to now not being able to do anything because they want 2 referrals in addition.

33 nicolesnickels February 17, 2010 at 5:48 am

Email Ideal (use the contact us link from the offer homepage) and let them know what the terms were when you signed up. You can even copy and paste them into your email if you followed my directions and have them. They should change the terms back for you.

34 elise February 17, 2010 at 5:20 pm

I got my first gift card today!! woohoo!! However, when I go to activate it, it wants a five digit code that was supposed to come with my gift card….I see nothing of the sort….where is the activation code listed, does anyone know?

Thanks!

35 nicolesnickels February 17, 2010 at 7:37 pm

Mine didn’t come with an activation code – just call the 1-800 number on the card and they will walk you through activation and registration of the card.

36 elise February 18, 2010 at 1:01 pm

I called them yesterday, apparently it’s the last 6 digits of your card, even though it asks for 5. The man on the phone was very polite and helpful, and actually activated it for me, shew! Thanks, Nicole!

37 denise February 20, 2010 at 5:23 pm

wanted to share about my first experience with this. i did an offer for a $100 gift card first b/c it only required 2 silver, 1 gold and 1 platinum and I thought I’d start small. My silvers approved the day after I did them. 13 days later my platinum approved but my gold hadn’t yet, so I did another. After 3 days my replacement gold still had not approved, so I did another one. But the very next day, the 4th day after replacement, the first gold did approve. So I did one unnecessary offer. But still, everything approved and I sent the form and W-9 off w/delivery confirmation. It was confirmed and now I’m just waiting for my status to change on the website! I also completed another offer for a $500 gift card through another Ideal company. My advice for others would be to just go ahead for the $500 card because I ended up spending the same amount (about $40) on the offers for both. Obviously the $500 card is the better deal :-) Also, if you have time, give your replacement offer 4 days to see if it goes through, as mine took that long. Thanks Nicole for all your help with this! I wouldn’t have done it without this website to guide me.

38 vlasta February 22, 2010 at 7:41 pm

awesome site! I would like to try this out, my DH is skeptical of this. I would like to try , but not with our CC. My question is can I use one of those VISA gift cards that you can buy at Walmart, for the credit card when applying for the offers?

39 nicolesnickels February 22, 2010 at 8:21 pm

For some offers a prepaid card will work as long as it’s registered for online use. Sometimes they don’t work though, I have to caution you. Also, most Ideal offers now require referrals (not sure why), I am hoping that changes soon though!

40 Andrea J. February 22, 2010 at 8:54 pm

Hi Nichole – I too have been hit by the mysterious change in referrals, but I am at a different point. I received my approval email and mailed out my redemption packet (Priority with Delivery Confirmation, of course). When I logged in to see if there was a status change, it still says I’ve been approved, etc. but now it says 2 referrals required. I have the t&c copied, as instructed. Any idea whether or not I’m going to have a rough time with this one? Also, I’ve been considering trying out a Nuitech but am a little skeptical since I can’t see all the available offers until I sign up to start. Any thoughts?

41 nicolesnickels February 22, 2010 at 9:22 pm

Have you contacted Ideal? Use the “contact us” link on the offer homepage. In my experience they always put you back to the original terms. Let me know how it goes. I haven’t done any Nuitech (yet!) so I can’t help you with that.

42 elise February 23, 2010 at 1:07 pm

Have they required referrals ever before? I’m hoping they take that off, but it doesn’t seem likely. I was wondering if anyone knew if they had added it in the past, only to eventually take it off? I’m going to have to try a Nuitech offer I guess….I really enjoyed the simplicity of the 2 Ideal offers I did!

43 nicolesnickels February 23, 2010 at 4:32 pm

Yes, periodically offers change to require referrals – the Wii/Wii Fit offer I first did changed shortly after to require referrals. They won’t “take them off”, they will introduce new offers which hopefully won’t require referrals. Hopefully they do this soon!

44 Andrea J. February 25, 2010 at 2:24 pm

Okay, so I’ve contacted them as you recommended. I just received a very short reply that simply says, “Your gift will be sent shortly.” It does not confirm that they will honor their offer, but it also does not decline to do so. I guess I’ll just have to hold my breath a few weeks and see if I get the dreaded “letter” or my gift card. Will let you know how it goes.

45 Heather February 25, 2010 at 6:23 pm

Okay, so I can’t find any links here that don’t require 2 referrals. This is me sad. Any help or ideas?

46 nicolesnickels February 25, 2010 at 6:37 pm

My February online offers post goes live tomorrow but it only has 1 offer on it since they have changed the others to all require referrals. I’m always on the lookout though!

47 Lesly February 25, 2010 at 8:51 pm

Yay!! I got my $500 gift card today!!!!!! I never thought those offers actually worked YAY!!! Just completely freaked out the fedex man, my 7month old and I- Mostly me-were screaming and jumping up and down.. :) sooo happy!

48 mss2069 March 5, 2010 at 1:41 pm

I’ve noticed that when I go to different sites (500 gc or laptop) and the companies are different, esolutions or 123, etc they have the exact same offers. Is this normal? Also, if I refer my friend, can she use me as a referral?

49 nicolesnickels March 5, 2010 at 4:07 pm

Yes, that is normal – the offers are the same, they rotate every few months. I don’t know about referrals, I stay far away from them!

50 mss2069 March 5, 2010 at 6:09 pm

So can i use the same offer since theres not much of a choice or will it dq me?

every offer i’ve found you have to have referrals. are they any that you don’t?
