Description of Product: “Now available in the freezer case at Target, Wanchai Ferry frozen entrées offer restaurant quality Chinese food without the trouble of having to leave home.  Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken has all of the ingredients needed to prepare a great-tasting, complete Chinese meal for 2 in only 14 minutes! With lightly battered chicken breast pieces that stay crispy when prepared and wholesome Asian-style vegetables, like tender broccoli florets, snappy julienne carrots and delicate baby corn, Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken will make you feel as though you´re enjoying a meal at your favorite Asian restaurant! It even comes with fluffy, tender Jasmine rice and a tangy orange glaze that adds the perfect touch of spicy heat.Wanchai Ferry frozen entrées are also available in four other delicious varieties including Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Additionally, all of the entrées have no added MSG!”

Review of Product: I received a product coupon for a FREE Wanchai Ferry frozen meal and chose the Sweet & Spicy Shrimp variety.  It took about 15 minutes and 1 skillet to prepare – both pluses! I found the vegetables to be very fresh and enjoyed the red pepper and snow peas especially.  The shrimp was tender and delicious when coated with the sweet and spicy sauce accompanying the meal.  The only downside was the portion size – the package says it’s 2 portions but it is 2 very small portions (probably portions like you are supposed to eat but most don’t!).  It even comes with rice and is truly a 1 bag meal.  I added a salad because of the smaller portion size and it worked out well.  I loved the items that came with the Prize Pack – they were truly for the perfect night in and for an authentic Asian meal!

Giveaway: The folks over at Wanchai Ferry and My Blog Spark have graciously decided to give one (1) lucky Nicole’s Nickels reader their own Wanchai Ferry “Perfect Night In” Prize pack, which includes one VIP coupon valid for a free package of any of the Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees, in addition to a set of great Asian-inspired rice bowls, chopsticks, bamboo placemats, flavored fortune cookies, and a $25 Target gift card.
