I have received several emails recently asking me about the different budgeting softwares out there and so I wanted to tell you all about Mint.com. First of all, Mint.com is completely FREE (that’s not even the best part!).
With Mint.com you enter in all of your info and it tracks how much you spend and on what and even helps you budget yourself better. Many times, seeing what you spend and where you spend it will cause you to start spending less right away. It’s very easy to not be aware of what you spend money on when you’re not accountable!
To start, register for FREE. Then enter in your usernames and passwords for your bank accounts, credit cards, loans, etc. Mint.com has bank level security so if you do online banking then you shouldn’t have a problem with this part. Mint.com will then pull all of your transactions and categorize them to help you see your spending more clearly. It’s easy to modify the categories.
You can set a budget and the system will tell you if/when you go over budget. It’s hard to argue with accurate and up to date numbers right in front of you. Maybe this is what you need to kickstart the saving or curb the spending?

I started Nicole's Nickels in February 2009 to bring all of the great deals I was finding to my friends and family and then it took off! Since then I've continued my full-time day job as an attorney while blogging in the evenings and on weekends. I help my clients during the days at the non-profit I work for and then my Nicole's Nickels readers trying to find the best deals for their family! I live in south/central Florida and have 2 cute dogs (see their picture under "mascots") and an amazing boyfriend who has a spunky 6 year old we get to spend a lot of time with. I love telling my readers about great deals and also about the cool products I get to try. Most of all I love giving stuff away to my readers! I hope you'll take the time to
