How To Get MORE Family Fun

by Nicole on March 29, 2011

Have you been entering Tony’s Pizza 99 Days of More Sweepstakes? You can enter every day and I’ve had some readers email me to tell me that they won so keep entering!

Having a family means having to come up with some creative ways to have fun that don’t break the bank.  Some suggestions I have are board games, a Trivia tournament or even a make your own pizza and movie night.  Break out the video camera and have your kids direct a movie!

When I was younger we often had family pizza nights where we’d order pizza and watch a movie together.  As an adult, I remember those family nights fondly.  I know many of you have similar traditions.  With today’s economy I am sure many of you try to do low priced activities.  It shouldn’t matter what you do as long as you’re together doing it!

Having a pizza night with Tony’s Pizza instead of take-out or delivery is definitely cost-effective! The pizzas taste yummy and so do the breadsticks – I’m not sure which part is better – their taste or their price! Pick one up today and plan a creative family togetherness activity for after dinner!

GIVEAWAY:  What are some of your most cost-effective family fun tips? The most creative response will get a coupon for a FREE Tony’s Pizza item.  Giveaway ends April 4, 2011.

We love to have a living room night out–we put out our picnic blanket and basket in the living room and enjoy our meal there!

We do “read-a-thons” with our toddler. We pull out all the snacks and books and read for hours. This is great on a rainy day!

The best Saturday family event is when the kids get to act like the parents -having the opportunity to make the decisions of what we eat, shop for the items, make the meals, plan the fun.

With the Weather being nice outside lately, we love to pack lunches for weekend day trips to near by towns or a near by beach or park for a picnic and bring a Frisbee, a Football and a Soccer ball along….for some fun in the sun and family activity.

Our favorite family night consists of “Charades” and we make different topics each time we play. We have a taco bar with all the fixings. Everyone loves to make their own tacos. You wouldn’t believe some of the concoctions they come up with.

We have an at home spa date. It starts with a bath with my home made brown sugar, olive oil and oatmeal scrub, I will give them massages when they get up and dry off. Then I make them a healthy meal of white omlettes and veggies for breakfast and stir fry for lunch. I do their nails, and they do the same for me. They love that. Even boys lol. It doesn’t cost anything, because I already have everything.
