Walmart’s NEW Coupon Policy

by Nicole on March 9, 2011

Walmart has a new coupon policy!

I think this is a really comprehensive policy that now allows for overage and some other really nice things.  I just hope that cashiers get trained on the new policy or else this is a potential nightmare!

It says that they will provide cash overage for items (!) and that a Catalina coupon marked as a manufacturer coupon will be accepted.  This is a welcome change!

What do you think about this new policy?

Definitely print a copy of the policy and carry it with you to the store.

Thanks, Deal Seeking Mom!

I’ve printed out both the pdf and the text copy of the new coupon policy and carry both with me. I have shopped once at Walmart since this came out, and did need to pull out my copies when I went to use a $1.00 Walgreens Register Reward. The cashier was more than willing to take it, but wanted the video cameras to record that she asked a supervisor about it first. The supervisor was at first hesitant, but after I pointed out the “manufacturer coupon” printed on the top and that the mail in address was to Folgers, not Walgreens, she reluctantly said to accept it. :)

I’ve DONE it!!!!!! Wal-Mart took a Walgreens register reward! I had to show them the policy and they said ok and took it. Also, they have been giving me overages all along. I’m always buying something for 97 cents and giving them a $1 coupon and they have been good about applying to my basket balance but they have never given me money back. But who cares just makes something else cheaper.
