You all know that I love companies that give back and here is an awesome way that Subway is trying to raise money for urban little leagues!
Auctions will be posted from August 19-August 28 on eBay. The balls and/or link to the baseballs can be found on Facebook. The auction benefits the Little League Urban Initiative program which helps fund start-ups, developments, equipment, clinics and field maintenance for Inner City Little Leagues. Inner city little leagues are key to giving today’s youth the tools they need to rise above and succeed in society, for many it may be the only activity they get to do outside of school.
Celebs from Joe Montana to Katy Perry have signed balls for auction – check out the whole list. This is the third year that Subway has done this campaign and included this year are more than 40 baseballs from various celebs.
“The SUBWAY® Baseball DeSIGNS Tour and our national sponsorship of Little League® Baseball continue to provide an opportunity for SUBWAY® to support Little League® with a program that is unique and brings added awareness and exposure while giving back,” said Tony Pace SUBWAY® Franchisee Advertising Fund Chief Marketing Officer. “The level of creativity these young athletes and artists show in designing these baseballs is inspiring. We’re looking forward to kicking off the tour in Los Angeles and highlighting their talent across the country.” I love companies that give back and this is such a creative campaign! Make sure to check it out today!
For more information on the tour, consumers can visit SubwayKids.com and the Official SUBWAY® Facebook page. Online auctions for the celebrity-autographed baseballs will open to the public Aug. 19 and will run through the Little League® Baseball World Series, which concludes Aug. 28
