Review of Product: I received a 3 month membership to the Premier Club – so much fun! I love multi-month gifts like this, they keep on giving and reminding you of the generosity of the gift-giver every month the gift comes! These wines come really well-packaged – just make sure someone over 21 is home to sign for them or pick them up from FedEx. The wines comes with the Uncorked newsletter which gives more information about the club and the wines you’re getting for that month.

This month I received 2 new wines to try – a Castoro Cellars Paso Robles Gewurztraminer and a Castoro Cellars Paso Robles Pinot Noir.  My sister-in-law loves pinot noir and I had never really tried it.  I was happy to find that I really like it.  The taste wasn’t as strong as a cabernet or merlot and I liked how it was more fruity.  Uncorked says it has black cherry notes and I definitely tasted this part of the wine – yum! The Gewurztraminer was also delicious.  Uncorked says it has ginger and tropical fruit aromas which I found really pleasing.  I enjoyed the Gewurztraminer with some fruit as an appetizer and it was perfect, it would also taste delicious with some light fish or seafood.  I am really finding that I prefer white wines and am starting to be able to pick out the scents and finishing notes before I’ve read Uncorked to find out what the experts say about the wines I am trying! I am loving learning more about wine and being able to try hand-picked wines to try to refine my tastes!
