by Nicole on November 28, 2011

Name of Product: Marzetti Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip

Where can the product be purchased: at grocers nationwide

Description of Product:Try this rich, creamy Greek yogurt dip by Marzetti. It’s a refreshing complement to all your favorite veggies. Choose from flavors like garden herb ranch, cucumber dill feta and more. Look for Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip in the produce section of your local grocery store.”

Review of Product: I received 2 coupons to try out the new Marzetti Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip.  I bought the dill feta and the garden herb ranch flavors to test out.  I also bought some fresh cut up veggies to eat with the dips.  My favorite was the dill feta.  It had such a tangy taste that I really enjoyed.  The garden herb ranch was delicious as well but the flavor was more subtle.  I always forget how much I love veggies and dip – for me, I have to buy the veggies already cut up otherwise I’ll forget or won’t have the time to cut up the veggies myself – it’s all about saving time for me!

I loved the dips but immediately started thinking about other ways I could use them.  I tried them in my baked potatoes instead of sour cream and they were perfect.  They added flavor and creaminess without the fat and calories of butter and sour cream.

My favorite way I used the dip was in my tuna fish instead of mayo.  I have been using greek yogurt as a may sub for a while now but I knew the added flavor of these dips would be perfect in tuna.  The dill feta was incredible in my tuna – so creamy and flavorful and the dill was a perfect complement to the tuna.

My store didn’t have the chipotle cheese variety but that’s the one I would like to try next though I think I will have a hard time not buying the dill feta one again – it was THAT good! I am not a cilantro fan so the salsa cilantro variety does not interest me at all.  The spinach artichoke variety is also interesting to me.  I think the Marzettis folks should market these as not just dips but also as sauces or mayo/sour cream substitutes.

These were a hit with Jamie and Noah as well.  It even got Noah to eat some carrot sticks which is no small feat! He loves ranch dressing but I don’t love the calories and fat – I definitely felt better giving him this Marzetti’s Otria Greek Yogurt Dip – yum! He tried the dill feta but the flavor was too strong for him – but just perfect for Jamie and I who argued over who got to use a carrot to make sure all of the dip was removed from the container!

I was one of the bloggers selected by T. Marzetti Company and Clever Girls Collective to host a Marzetti Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip review. They provided me with product to test and compensation for my time. However, my opinions are entirely my own.

Thank You! Your review told me exactly what I wanted to know.
I saw (and snapped up) a container of the Cucumber Dill Feta Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip thinking I would like it-but not sure how to use it.

I WILL try it w/ tuna salad. Maybe cucumber sandwiches and maybe salmon tacos/tortilla wraps too.
Since I am on a diet, I’m looking for a way to add [BOLD] flavor to my miniscule menu. You know diets, you need to keep it interesting—might try it w/ a potato salad as well, but I need to keep the serving size small.

Great review-thanks again!
