POWOW App Makes Texting Easier

by izea on May 13, 2012

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of POWOW Messenger for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I had never heard of  POWOW Messenger for Android until recently.  I had been looking for a way to blacklist certain spammy texts I was getting (do you get the ones that say you won a Walmart giftcard? those!) and came across the app.

It downloaded easily and within minutes I was up and running.  I didn't realize all of the cool things this app could do and I am now hooked! The blacklist feature was easy to use and I haven't received any unwanted texts since I started using it.  I also like the feature that lets me receive a text message without getting a notification by muting it.  This is great for all of the stores I am signed up to receive text alerts from – I can always go back and search for a specific message if I am looking for a certain deal but it doesn't pop up and make noise like my texts do.  It's a great way to filter your texts just like I filter my emails and I am all about time-savers!

It works under the ZipIt name and for each contact you can choose to blacklist the contact (block completely), mute the contact (receive text but no notification) or none (full notification).  It also includes a feature to make the text pop-up on your screen which I had before using another app and really love.  From the pop-up yo can delete the message or call the person messaging you which is really cool functionality many other apps don't have.

You should definitely check out the app and download it today – I'm still finding more features that I didn't know I couldn't live without until now!
