Did you know today is National Vodka Day?
I didn’t but I do enjoy vodka every now and again and lately have found myself ordering flavored vodka and soda when I’m out. It’s low in calories and when the vodka has a fun flavor you don’t need a mixer other than soda. I have tried some strange flavors and really enjoy the sweet tasting dessert flavors like the Cupcake Frosting Vodka – yum! So we’ll be celebrating National Vodka Day tonight with some Cupcake Frosting Vodka – I haven’t decided what we’ll use as a mixer. Perhaps some coconut seltzer? or Diet Sprite? Either of those (or the cocktail recipes below) would be refreshing and deliciously sweet! Happy Celebrating!

1.5 oz Cupcake Deliciously Unflavored (Original) Vodka
3 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice
0.5 oz Lemon/Lime Soda
Grapefruit Slice
Fill a highball glass with ice and pour in ingredients. Stir and add grapefruit slice as garnish.

1 oz Cupcake Frosting Vodka
1 Splash of Citrus Liqueur
1 oz Lemon/Lime Soda
1 oz Orange Soda
1 Splash Orange Juice
Combine ingredients and pour over ice into a highball glass.

DRAT! I just poured some wine ~ don’t know how I missed this either except I’m late getting to my emails
