This is a recipe from my mother’s Aunt Tessie who owned the Shel-R0n in Philadelphia. A kugel is a noodle pudding either savory (usually with potato) or sweet (usually with noodle). This is a sweet kugel but you serve it with the main dish. It’s very dense and not healthy in the least but it’s something my family enjoys during the holidays! Have you ever tried kugel?
Ingredients
- ½ lb. fine egg noodles
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 eggs
- ½ lb butter or margarine
- ½ lb cream cheese
- 2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Boil the noodles and spread them into the bottom of a 9x13 pan
- Blend all other ingredients in mixer and pour over noodles
- Bake at 350
- Serve with warmed fruit (I use strawberry pie filling)

I live in south/central Florida and have 2 cute dogs (see their picture under "mascots") and an amazing husband who has a spunky 6 year old we get to spend a lot of time with.
