11/13 Pinterest Pin of the Week – DIY Organizer Bin

by Pennie on November 13, 2012

I have a confession to make: I am a closet pack rat.  I am not a full on hoarder with stacks of stuff on every surface and every inch of floor, but I have a few more things in my home than I have room for.  I definitely have the “maybe I could use this someday, so I can’t throw it out” syndrome.  This is a genetic quality in my family, inherited by all the women.  My brother, on the other hand, will throw something out before you can finish using it the first time!  Because of this genetic defect I am always looking for better, more efficient ways to store things.  So this week’s pin is something I NEED!

From RadCrafter, these fabric storage bins are easily made by even the most beginning sewer.  I know a lot of people don’t sew clothing  anymore but craft sewing has taken an upturn.  These only require you to sew a straight line, so even a basic machine will suffice.

When you visit the web site, you’ll see that she refers to these as storage bins aka “diaper caddies”.  I’m happy to say that I’ll soon be making some of these in pink for that very reason!

This looks like it would be great for magazines and books, which is my ‘hoarders’ shame!

I love this! I agree with @Regina, it would be great to store all the free magazines I’m getting! :)
