Healthy Eating with Real Food Moms and Giveaway

by Nicole on December 24, 2012

I had never heard of Real Food Moms but once I did I was hooked! I love their philosophy on food and food for kids and think their website is great! I use it when trying to plan menus for when we have Noah and can see why it’s so popular! I love searching for the recipes by category and have found some real gems in there! You know when your 7 year old keeps asking for something you made with quinoa in it that’s a good recipe, right?

We are reaching out to fellow moms to invite you to visit our site, Real Food Moms – a website that focuses on nutrition, wellness, and relaxation techniques. We created this site especially for you, “The busy mom and her family” with the goal of helping you not only improve your life, but give your children a better life too. While the website provides quite a few tips, ideas, tools and inspiration, we have more to share! We are particularly excited to offer you a free download of The Pantry Makeover, a comprehensive toolkit designed to help moms transform their pantries! Join us at 2:00PM EST every Tuesday for our weekly Twitter Party along with Family Food Experts! Plus, tune in every Wednesday evening at 6:00PM EST for the Family Food Experts Internet Radio Show on the Women 4 Women Network.

To ensure that baby gets the best, most wholesome, and natural food possible, go homemade! The newest entry in the acclaimed Great Expectations series focuses on easy preparation of nutritious baby and toddler meals at home—from the first finger-foods to more than 130 delicious kid-tested recipes that will lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating.  The book teaches parents how to select the right food, set up a pantry (with a guide to key kitchen equipment), establish smart eating routines, and introduce a wide variety of tastes and textures. It also explores today’s most pressing nutrition issues: Should you buy only organic food? Is it healthy to restrict a toddler’s calorie intake? Is a vegetarian diet good for a very young child? Additional resources include information on breastfeeding and food allergies, as well as a comprehensive listing of whole foods companies and products that make healthy eating faster and easier.

I gave this book to my brother and sister in law who have a 4 month old.  They were really interested in it and have told me how helpful it is for them.  They are very into nutrition and health and it’s important for them to be knowledgeable about what is best for their baby as she grows up! This book will definitely help them do just that!
