Holiday Cocktails with Kahlua Gingerbread

by Nicole on December 12, 2012

I love flavored liquors and this Kahlua Gingerbread was calling my name! I love the flavor of Kahlua and gingerbread is such a yummy holiday flavor to add to it.  Last year I tried the Kahlua peppermint mocha and it became a favorite so I was wondering if the Gingerbread would replace it!

As the gusty chill of winter comes a ’knocking at our doors, why not warm your senses by sipping one of the quintessential flavors of the holiday season with newly released limited-edition Kahlúa Gingerbread ($17.99). Kahlúa Gingerbread combines distinctive notes of gingerbread, nutmeg and subtle cinnamon and clove with the rich flavors of Kahlúa, which is made from 100% Arabica coffee beans and sugarcane spirit, grown side by side in the mountains of Veracruz. Whether served neat, on the rocks, or mixed into cocktails and coffee drinks, Kahlúa Gingerbread is sure to warm you for the holiday season.

Try making this simple cocktail at home to spice up the season:

Kahlúa Cookie Martini

½ part Kahlúa Gingerbread

1 ½ parts Absolut® Vodka

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy.

As we approach the season to give back, we also wanted to let you know that Kahlúa has teamed up with One Warm Coat to help keep people warm this holiday season. One Warm Coat is a charitable organization that helps support coat drives across the U.S. and Kahlúa is giving them a boost this holiday season with its “Share the Warmth” campaign.

Each person who visits and clicks the “Share the Warmth” button on the page will trigger a $1 donation from Kahlúa to One Warm Coat, with a maximum goal of up to $100,000. Funds will be used by One Warm Coat to help support their efforts in the promotion of local coat drives and in giving back to communities across the country. Be sure to spread the word and give back!

The cookie martini recipe above is delicious and a great signature cocktail to mix for a holiday party.  It was sweet but not overly sweet and super festive, I loved it.  I really like the gingerbread and the peppermint mocha as well, not sure which is my favorite! You all know how I love companies that give back and so please go to the Kahlua Facebook page where 1 click triggers a $1 donation to give warm coats to the needy across of country! Everyone has a second to make the click!

I received a sample to facilitate this review.  All opinions remain my own.
