IKEA Soft Toys for Education

by Nicole on December 5, 2012

You all know I love companies that give back and boy does IKEA do that right! They are back again this season with their Soft Toys for Education program!

This holiday season, the IKEA Soft Toys for Education campaign is back in full swing! Running from November 4 – December 29, this annual event continues to raise money to educate children around the world. Since 2003, the IKEA Soft Toys for Education campaign has donated $61.75 million (€47.5 million) in donations to UNICEF and Save the Children, helping eight million children through over 70 programs.

IKEA Soft Toys – which includes stuffed animals, finger puppets and books – range in price from $.49 – $19.99 and are available in all IKEA stores and online. For every IKEA Soft Toy purchased, one euro (approximately $1.35 US) is donated to the Soft Toys for Education Campaign.

These soft toys are so fun for kids! This year we got the large carrot and the dessert set for my niece.  She is an infant but grabs at things at the carrot is just too cute when it is next to her (it is as big as she is!).  The dessert set is very lifelike but is super soft and great for a baby or young child.  I would always rather buy something that gives back and these soft toys do just that! They are reasonably priced to start (as is everything at IKEA!) and make a great holiday gift for the young children on your holiday list!

I received samples of the soft toys.  All opinions are my own.

I never knew IKEA had soft toys and now I am excited to log on and look at their website. Thank you for this heads up and important information.
