Nutrisystem Week 2 #NSNation

I am so excited to announce that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger! I am at the end of Week 2 and am happy to report another week of great weight loss!

Weight loss this week:  2.0 lbs.

Total weight loss since start of program:  8.6 lbs.

The meal plan is an easy one to follow. For breakfast you have a breakfast item and a protein shake. My favorite shake is the vanilla, for the first time I am actually enjoying a protein shake! Mid-morning you have a protein snack, either dairy like yogurt and cheese or nuts. For lunch you have a lunch item paired with another protein item like dairy or nuts. For mid-afternoon snack you have a carb like fruit or a piece of toast. For dinner you have a dinner item and another carb like some rice or a starchy vegetable. For dessert you get a dessert item – these are my favorite! The red velvet whoopie pie is amazing! You also need to drink 8 glasses of water per day and add 4 servings of veggies during the day.

I am actually eating more food than I did in the past so I’m feeling pretty full and never hungry.  I need to work more on getting all my water and veggies in.  There are day when I am in court all day and can’t really drink as much as I would want to.  You can’t eat in court either and so those are the days my eating suffers.  I ordered some more food and added some of the lunch bars to my order this time so when I am on the go I can just eat the bar for lunch and not have to worry about finding a gas station with a microwave to heat up a meal.

I am so happy the food tastes so good to me.  There are of course a few things I am not a huge fan of but there hasn’t been anything I couldn’t eat.  I am not a huge fan of chunky onions or onion slices and most of my complaints are that some of the food has onions where I wouldn’t like them! This week I tried the chicken fettucine alfredo for dinner and loved it – it might be my new favorite! For breakfast I love the breakfast burrito and for lunch the cheesy homestyle potatoes were delicious!

This week we had my mother’s birthday dinner and I decided I didn’t want to deprive myself at the yummy steakhouse we went to.  So I had a drink and a little taste of the appetizers and a petit filet (oh and a bite of dessert) and gained a pound the next morning! So I would have been down more had I not had that little splurge.  But I don’t regret it!
