This week’s pin comes to us from Kimberly Wood on Ravelry. I pinned this a while ago when I thought I still had time to make it before my granddaughter arrived. It is so cuddly looking and the baby looks so peaceful that I was drawn to it immediately. The more I look at it the more I am drawn to it, it reminds me of a pea-pod!
This is made out of Bernat Felting natural wool, but I might try it in bamboo yarn which is very soft. It is a simple stockinette stitch so even beginning knitters should be able to accomplish this in a relatively short time. The pattern is free – all you need is a Ravelry account. (If you don’t know Ravelry and are a knitter or crocheter you are REALLY missing out.)
It is so cozy looking – I wonder how long it would take to make one in Grandma size!

I started Nicole's Nickels in February 2009 to bring all of the great deals I was finding to my friends and family and then it took off! Since then I've continued my full-time day job as an attorney while blogging in the evenings and on weekends. Nicole's Nickels has evolved into a site that lets you know about great new products and services! I help my clients during the days at the non-profit I work for and then my Nicole's Nickels readers learn about the best new products for their families! I live in south/central Florida and have 2 cute dogs (see their picture under "mascots") and an amazing husband who has a spunky 6 year old we get to spend a lot of time with. I hope you'll take the time to

How adorable this is! My neighbor’s daughter is expecting and it time for me to get out my needles and exercise my hands! I love this so much better than just doing the standard blanket and your idea about bamboo rather than wool yarn!
