We have been eating Arnold’s Sandwich Thins as part of our Nutrisystem diet so I know that they can be included in a part of a healthy diet! They now have a PointsPlus rating of 3 which makes them a great grab when choosing bread for a sandwich!
All of the six flavors have only 3 points! The six flavors are 100% whole wheat, multi-grain, honey-wheat, 100% whole wheat flax & fiber, made with whole grain white and seedless rye! My favorite is the multi-grain, it tastes great! They are available as Arnold’s in the East, Brownberry in the Midwest and Orowheat in the West. They only have 100 calories per sandwich thin roll and are a great choice for healthier eating!
Here is a recipe for Better For You Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches:
• 222 calories
• 6g fiber
• 28g protein
• 21g carbs
• 4g fat
1 Arnold® Sandwich Thins® Rolls Multi-Grain roll
3 oz. extra lean ground chicken breast, raw
Salt and pepper to taste
1/8 c. water
1/8 c. plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1/2 tbsp. hot sauce
1/8 c. reduced-fat blue cheese, crumbled
Season ground chicken breast with salt and pepper to taste; mix in water. Shape meat into a patty and set aside. Heat a nonstick griddle pan or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add patty and sear until golden; meat will release when ready to flip. Flip patty and cover until fully cooked, about 8 additional minutes.
Meanwhile, mix yogurt with hot sauce. Spread mix on bottom half of Sandwich Thins® roll; then, add cooked patty. Sprinkle blue cheese on top of patty and top with the other half of the roll. Enjoy!
