Nicole’s Recipes: Party Poppers

I tried these delicious party poppers while I was at my trip to the Aldi Headquarters this fall.  I hadn’t ever really had a date but once I tried these I was hooked! I ended up making these party poppers as a Thanksgiving appetizer and they went really fast and I had many requests to make them next year! They are very easy to make but the taste is incredible! They are featured on the Aldi website, make sure to check out their great recipes!

Nicole’s Recipes:  Party Poppers


  • 8 oz. pitted dates
  • 4 oz. Brie
  • 6 oz. slivered almonds
  • 1.5 lbs. peppered bacon (plain bacon is fine)
  • Toothpicks


  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Cut dates in half, lengthwise
  3. Cut brie into small pieces, about the size of a peanut
  4. Place a piece of brie and 4 almond slivers on half of a date then top with the other half
  5. Quarter bacon slices and wrap around the stuffed date.
  6. Secure with toothpick.
  7. Line a baking sheet with foil and place dates on the baking sheet
  8. Bake 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy.

I’ve had the bacon wrapped dates before, but not with the brie center… the salty bacon mixed with sweet dates and creamy brie sounds absolutely delicious! I’m going to have to try these!

These are making me hungry.LOL! Those look sinfully delish. All the salt I’d blow up like a balloon but it might be worth it.Thanks for sharing :)
