You know that I like things that are easy to make. What you don’t know is that I like finger foods, dishes that I can have a little of, especially ones that are spicy. Then you get a lot of return on your small bite! Turns out that Tina from “My Life as a Mrs” feels the same. She inherited a dip recipe from her Aunt Kathy that is, as Tina says, “Easy. Peasy. Hot and Cheesy.” It’s called: Easy Cheesy Hot Bean Dip, of course! Here’s a picture:
One of the things that is appealing to me about this recipe is that it uses Bushes Chili Starter beans, which I find have a really good taste on their own. They are a good baseline for any dish they are in.
It’s going to take a little convincing for my daughter to try this because it has creme cheese along with the cheddar. This “new” idea of cooking with creme cheese is a little off-putting to her, but she is coming around. To me, it’s like adding a dollop of sour cream to a bowl of chili, it just smooths it out!
