Nicole’s Recipes: Easy Brisket

by Nicole on February 5, 2013

My family has been eating brisket ever since I can remember and my mother makes it like her mother.  Trying a new brisket recipe is revolutionary in our house but we tried this one because it is such an EASIER recipe! It is a one pan meal – actually you don’t even dirty a single pan! It does take a long time but my grandmother’s recipe has many steps where this does not.  The final outcome is a deliciously soft brisket that could easily be made into BBQ.  Here is the recipe, it doesn’t get much easier than this.

Nicole’s Recipes: Easy Brisket

Ingredients

  • Brisket
  • 2 envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 can Campbell’s Condensed Tomato Soup
  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. Brown sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • Heavy Duty Reynolds Wrap – Aluminum Foil

Instructions

  1. Line Broiling pan with Aluminum Foil.
  2. Take Heavy duty Aluminum foil and eventually make an envelope
  3. Put dry onion soup mix on the bottom of the envelope.
  4. Then put Brisket on top of that.
  5. Squeeze lemon.
  6. Then put can of tomato soup, ½ cup of Ketchup and brown sugar and onion soup mix.
  7. Close envelope – closing sides first like an envelop standing up and seal top.
  8. Bake 3 ½ hrs at 325.
