Nutrisystem Week 10 Nicole, Week 7 Jamie

I am so excited to announce that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger! I am at the end of Week 9 and had a pretty good week this week! Make sure to read Jamie’s post below about his week.

Weight loss this week: .4 lbs.

Total weight loss since start of program: 20.7 lbs

This week’s post is about the frustration of weight loss! This week I followed the plan and did everything I am supposed to and only lost .4 lbs! I am bummed! It’s tough when you work so hard and there is no reward when you get on the scale.

I really need to get going with more exercise. This week I am promising to get better with that. I know, I know, you’ve heard that before but I just need to do it! I started wearing a FitBit pedometer and have been really watching how many steps I have been taking each day.  I haven’t gotten to the 10,000 yet but I’ve been above 5,000 so that is good at least.

We are really in the groove with the food thing and I can’t help but wonder if we both need to switch things around a little to jumpstart the weight loss again.  We both like certain things and tend to go for those – I like Greek yogurt and Jamie likes bananas but maybe we need to move things around? I know a call to Dietary Services at Nutrisystem is in order this week for both of us.  I also need to go back to the Nutrisystem app on my phone and keep track of everything I am eating.  I kind of stopped doing this once I really knew the program since I was eating almost the same thing every day.

I’m happy that I am still loving the food and we should be getting a new food order in this coming week.  There will be a few new frozen items in there for us, including frozen dinners and I am so excited to try them! I’ll keep you posted on mt favorites.


Jamie’s post:

This Week’s weight loss: gained .4 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 39.0 lbs

I now have made it 7 weeks on my Nutrisystem plan. I am still doing well. I think the variety helps me stay interested in the food . My weekly challenges remain the same. I mostly need to fight the urge to eat food I am cooking at work, or make a detour through a drive through, this is when I usually have my afternoon snack/dessert. This snack/dessert ranges from a little bag of cookies, a dessert bar,or buttered popcorn and corn puffs.

Being on Nutrisystem with my wife presents a new challenge, finding stuff to do that does not involve having a meal out. This week on my day off we walked around a local home show, this was something we may have done in the past, but definitely would have been before or after lunch. Instead I had a popcorn in the car on the way and Nicole had a yogurt hers was a power fuel from lunch and mine was an extra dessert I get daily. I have figured out that if we need to have lunch or dinner away from the house, having a salad with lots of veggies and then bringing a lunch bar with you is a good way to go. Also getting power fuels or smart carbs is very easy when your on the go since so many gas stations and convenience stores have cheese sticks, fresh fruits, a small portion of nuts or a hard boiled egg.

I gained .4 lbs this week, which is a really small amount and weight fluctuations like this are normal. I know that if I continue eating what I am supposed to, the weight will continue to come off. I am looking forward to another focused week, and after this coming week it will be two months on the Nutrisystem .
