Nutrisystem – Week 11 Nicole, Week 8 Jamie

by Nicole on February 17, 2013

Nicole’s post:

I am so excited to announce that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger! I am at the end of Week 11 and had a pretty good week this week! Make sure to read Jamie’s post below about his week.

Weight loss this week: 1.8 lbs.

Total weight loss since start of program: 22.5 lbs

I had a good week this week and am learning how weight loss ebbs and flows naturally.  Jamie has the weight fall off one week (like this week) but some weeks he just maintains.  This week I didn’t do anything different than last week, I guess my body just needed some catching up time!

This week we got 3 out of our 4 shipments (2 shelf stable and 1 frozen) and were so happy to see some of our favorites return! We have our definite go-to’s – I love the Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza, the chocolate frosted donut and the cheesy homestyle potatoes.  Jamie’s favorites are the garden fresh omelet, the steak and cheese melt and the meat lasagna!

It takes me a while to get everything put away, wanted to show you a shot of the pantry where all of the shelf stable dinners and bars go and the hutch where the shelf stable lunches and desserts go.

Look at all of that food! On Saturdays we have been going to Sam’s club for our produce for the week.  I think the quality of their produce is really good and love the prices! We eat a lot of salads, fruits and veggies so the larger quantities aren’t a problem at all! So the frig is full of good stuff – check out a picture.

I have to tell you all how much better I feel since being on Nutrisystem.  I am not bloated, have more energy and just have an overall great feeling!I’m never hungry – even though the Nutrisystem portions are small they definitely fill me up and I can supplement my meals with their unlimited foods like non-starchy veggies.  I have really started to like those bags of sweet peppers at the grocery store – I eat them as a snack! So on Valentine’s Day Jamie got me flowers with a bear, bath stuff and chocolates which were sent to me at the office! I texted him and said thank you and he wrote back “give away the chocolates”.  If I wasn’t dieting I would have been mad at that statement but I know he was just looking out for me and trying to help me not sabotage myself! See how beautiful!

Jamie’s post:

This Week’s weight loss: 8 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 47.0 lbs

Today is the end of my 8th week on Nutrisystem. I am extremely proud of my results at the end of two months. Saturday was an exciting day, we received our new shipment of ready to eat and frozen meals. We received some new food options including; waffles, Salisbury steak and mac and cheese (I had this for dinner Saturday and I was very pleased), Cheese Ravioli, Chicken Tacos, and various other selections. It has been fun trying all the foods and then picking our favorites to reorder. I am always impressed with the attention to detail to how the food is shipped, it is so nice and organized and the frozen comes in a nice Styrofoam cooler super frozen on dry ice.

One of the things I am really surprised I like so much about Nutrisystem are the Nutrabears. These little tokens of your weight loss are very motivating. You get a different bear for every 10 pounds that you lose. I got to line up the 10, 20, 30, and 40 pound bears on the table. It was cute when my 7 ½ years old son saw all the bears and read the amounts he told me good job dad.

I am extremely busy with work and life, so I put off making that call to Nutrisystem for the dieticians input on my recent little plateaus again this week. It turns out that I didn’t need any help, as I figured if I stayed the course the weight would come off and come off it did. I lost 8lbs for the week for a grand total of -47lbs for the first 2 months.

Awesome job Nicole and your husband too!! All that food looks good. I know this program would work for me but I’m on SSI and can’t afford it :(
Do you know if they ever help people that need to lose huge amounts of weight? Kind of like pro bono, I don’t know what to call it. LOL!!
Congrats again! Great Job! Adorable bears :)
