Savor Your Soup with Original Soup Man Soup Cartons

by Nicole on February 10, 2013

Do you remember the soup nazi on Seinfeld? He was so funny and is definitely a real person! When you go to NYC now you’ll see Original Soup Man locations all over! I’ve never been to one but now I can try the legendary soup at home directly from my local grocery store!

THE PHENOMENON STARTED BACK IN 1984. WAY BEFORE THE CLASSIC PUNCHLINE ON SEINFELD, THERE WERE LONG SOUP LINES OUTSIDE OF AL’S LEGENDARY NYC STORE.This was soup worth waiting for, even in sub-zero winters. The innovative recipes, miraculously fresh ingredients and spices from Al‘s secret sources showed jaded New Yorker’s a whole new side of soup. Nothing has changed. Our small-batch soups are still made with the craft and relentless pursuit of excellence that defines perfectionism and creates legends.

Soup fans can now find The Original SoupMan, packaged in its new, shelf-stable Tetra Recart carton, in the soup aisle of many of the nation’s largest supermarket chains, including: A&P, Associated Food Stores, Carrs, Dominick’s, Fairway, Food Emporium, H-E-B Supermarkets, Pathmark, Pavilions, Randalls, Safeway, Super Fresh, The Fresh Market, Tom Thumb, Vons, Waldbaum’s, Weiss, Woodman’s, and more. The soups are also available online at Amazon.com. To find the nearest retailer, visit www.originalsoupman.com/soup-shop/grocers-near-you.

The Original SoupMan soups sold in supermarkets feature the same obsessive perfectionism and eclectic varieties for which the brand is famous, starting with Lobster Bisque, Chicken Noodle, Lentil and Tomato Bisque. Suggested retail price is $3.79 to $3.99 for a two-serving, 17.3 oz. carton.

I got to try the 4 varieties pictured above.  My favorite was the lobster bisque – it was super creamy and rich and I love that it’s shelf stable soup I can buy at my local grocery store! The chicken noodle was really good too and was so much better than your typical canned chicken noodle! This is comfort food at its best! My in-laws tried the tomato bisque with a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch one day and called me right away to tell me how delicious and flavorful they thought the soup was!

I received samples to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
