Nutrisystem Week 16 Nicole, Week 13 Jamie

I am so excited to announce that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger!

Nicole’s weight loss this week: lost .8 lbs.

Nicole’s Total weight loss since start of program: 21.7 lbs.

It’s been a tough week again this week but we both posted losses so that is a good thing! We have been letting life get in the way of our diet over the past month or so but this week managed to stay on track until Friday when we went out to eat for our first wedding anniversary! We had a giftcard at the place we got married at which is a super fancy restaurant and so we had a great dinner but the French cuisine was not the best choice! Then yesterday we had a friend’s 40th birthday party, today we have our cake topper since it’s our anniversary today and then tomorrow is Passover! We don’t keep Passover for the whole week but will go to a seder with my family tomorrow.

I think the most important thing for me when we have a bad meal is to not make the whole day a bad one.  I have a tendency in my head to tell myself that I’m having a bad dinner tonight so the whole day might as well be a bad eating one.  That is the kind of thinking that I need to change and I was successful with it for most of the week!

We got our next Nutrisystem order in on Friday and it’s always exciting to see my favorites back – I had the breakfast burrito this morning for breakfast and I really love it with a little hot sauce added to it.  I’m excited to have my stuffed shells and ravioli frozen dinners back and the red velvet whoopie pie for dessert is a good one.  Jamie had an omelet this morning, we both really love the frozen food selections especially and it’s an exciting day when we get a new food order!

I am still trying to get back to the place where I was 100% on the Nutrisystem plan every day.  This week was better than past weeks but still not 100% perfect due to life.   I think it is very important that even though I may veer off the program that I go back on it right away because if not and I stay off for more than a meal that is when the weight gain happens.  Being on Nutrisystem will keep me from the other option which is not caring at all about what I eat which will always result in continual weight gain over time.

At this point in my dieting life it’s just as important not to gain weight as it is to lose weight.  While I’m not thrilled with my weight loss this week I do appreciate that it was not one of the large gains that I have had in past weeks and can attribute that to not having days where I ate off the program for the whole day.  It’s understandable that life sometimes makes it difficult as it has this weekend but even though I know I will taste some of our wedding cake this evening when we celebrate our first anniversary I will stay on the program for the rest of the day.

Our new Nutrisystem order brings back my favorite frozen lunches like the steak and cheese melt and the chicken quesadilla.  These frozen lunches are really good and I sometimes can’t believe they are diet food!
