Loving the Nuance Salma Hayek Line from CVS

by Nicole on April 12, 2013

I was so excited to attend a spa day at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami last week courtesy of Nuance Salma Hayek and CVS! I have tried some of the Nuance products before and have been very happy with the quality and ingredients – I couldn’t wait to learn more!

Discover Nuance Salma Hayek, a unique collection that combines exotic ingredients and ancient beauty secrets passed down through generations. The proprietary formulas are created using modern science to provide the most effective results. These products are designed to help every woman enhance the nuances that define her individual beauty.

I didn’t realize that there were skincare, bodycare, haircare and makeup products in the line and got to try so many of them! I am loving the sea salt spray for my hair, the lip trio for my lips, and the cleansing gel and the BB cream for my face!

The Nuance Salma Hayek collection embodies Salma’s family heritage. The products represent the fusion of her grandmother’s cosmetology training with her own vision of beauty, shaped by years of travel around the world. Nuance Salma Hayek was conceived for women who seek high-quality, efficacious beauty products customized to address their personal skincare, body care, haircare and cosmetic needs.

Select Nuance Salma Hayek products are available in 7,100 CVS/pharmacy stores nationwide and in Puerto Rico. The full line is available on Salma chose CVS/pharmacy because she wanted a partner that had the ability to work with the best suppliers to produce clinically proven products. “CVS/pharmacy did not limit me to one lab or one approach,” she explains. “They allowed me to explore and identify the best products. I was involved with the creation of every product in the line.”

They had a great display with all of the core ingredients of the products like walnuts, himalayan sea salt and macadamia nuts.  I loved seeing the natural ingredients and being able to touch and hold them all.

We had spa treatments using the Nuance line to choose from.  I chose a massage and a facial.  If you’re going to go for it you might as well do it up right! I love a good massage and this one used the Nuance body oil and a Nuance body cream.  It was luxurious and a great stress relief.  I carry my stress in my upper back and the masseuse was incredible.  The products smelled great and added to the experience.

I have been to some nice spas but check out this treatment room! It was HUGE and had floor to ceiling views of the Intracoastal.  Gorgeous! It also had an oversized tub and a lounge chair in addition to the treatment bed.  It was super comfortable and posh and totally serene and chill.  The facial I chose was the Nuance Anti-Aging facial and the esthetician used the alpha hydroxy pads on my face which made my skin tingle and brightened and evened my skin.  She also used the gel and the BB cream.  I really loved the BB cream as the texture was perfect – not too matte or too sheer, the perfect amount of coverage in a shade that was just right for me.

The food was spa inspired but also powered by the ingredients contained in the Nuance line.  It was all super creative and tasted delicious! The fresh fennel, orange and macadamia nuts salad was one of my favorites.  It was light and refreshing and very clean tasting.

I also enjoyed the energizing pear and almond smoothie.  The glasses were mini and the portion was perfect.  It was creamy and slightly sweet.  I had a great time meeting some new bloggers and really getting the chance to try out the Nuance products.  Since I took a few products home with me I am using most of them every day and really enjoying their effectiveness.  My current favorite is the sea salt spray – it make my curls look great all day long and smells divine!
