Nutrisystem, Week 18 Nicole, Week 15 Jamie

I am so excited to announce that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger!

This week was another struggle and I have been reminded that this is a journey and not a race! I think losing weight a little slower makes it more sustainable! I am starting to think of life off of Nurisystem and how it has taught me about portion control and making the right choices.

For example, I used to go out to lunch every day when I worked.  Sometimes it was a sit down lunch, other times I would just grab something but it was pretty much never healthy.  Having options at work that I can eat make it so I will make the healthy choice and that’s what’s important! Not to mention it’s cheaper to just have lunch available at work than to go out!

I have started to eat some foods that I didn’t like or eat that much before like Greek yogurt and more veggies and fruits.  I feel so much better when I eat on the program – so much less bloat and so much more energy.

Nicole’s weight loss this week: lost .8 lbs.

Nicole’s Total weight loss since start of program: 23.6 lbs.

Week number 15 on Nutrisystem has come and gone. I had a decent week of following the program. I wanted to talk more about the great food I eat on this program than the mental struggles of loosing weight. I really like combining regular fruits and vegetables creatively with the Nutrisystem foods. This week I added roasted zucchini , squash, carrots, onions, and broccoli to my chicken pasta Alfredo and a toasted ww English muffin. That was a great meal. I also like to add button mushrooms that I sautéed with some pan spray and a sprinkle on Parmesan cheese. Another great dish I created was a large salad with lots of vegetables and the mushroom stuffed chicken sliced on top, and made some croutons from bagel thins cut and toasted.

I also take my dessert pound cake and slice it and put bananas from my smart carb on top with a dollop of vanilla yogurt from my powerful fuel to make a very yummy dessert. I also took raspberry yogurt, fresh raspberries and crumbled up chocolate covered pretzels. Once again this coming week I need to focus on eating all the snacks and in between meals to keep me on track.
