Corelle’s New Boutique Line and Giveaway

by Nicole on May 6, 2013

Introducing Corelle’s New Boutique Line! Last week I went to the beautiful Mondrian Hotel on South Beach to a blogger event hosted by Corelle.  I was excited to hear more about the new Boutique line they recently introduced and it’s always nice to spend some time at such a nice location! The photo above is of the Swept collection of the Boutique line by Corelle.  I love the understated elegance!

More than 40 years ago, R&D scientists at Corning Glass Works developed a special hub lamination process that thermally bonds three layers of glass—a core center surrounded by top and bottom layers of “skin” or “glaze” glass. The glass was decorated using unique enamels that actually became a part of the glass, creating durable, scratch-resistant designs. The result? Corelle® glass dinnerware, today known worldwide for its legendary strength and durability.

First introduced to consumers in 1970, Corelle® was the first brand of glass dinnerware to meet a variety of consumer demands through features that included:

Dishwasher and oven safe
Break-, chip-, and fade-resistant under normal use
Lightweight, yet durable
Easy to clean
Affordable, yet attractive At the same time.

Take a look at those 8 stoneware bowls next to the 8 Corelle bowls! No comparison! I have stoneware dishes and not only are they super heavy but they conduct heat too well and the plates are really hot after microwaving which can pose a danger to my family.  The Corelle set I got at the event is very light and takes up so much less room in my dishwasher as well as in my cabinets!

Corelle® offered two revolutionary guarantees to consumers. First, the brand promised to replace any dinnerware that broke, chipped, stained or cracked within the first two years of normal use, without requiring proof of purchase. Second, Corelle® committed to pattern continuity—a feature extremely important to consumers. Even today, Corelle® tests and refreshes its design portfolio based on extensive consumer research.

During its first decade, Corelle® glass dinnerware was virtually sold out—even before it was made. Within 18 months after Corelle® was first placed on sale, more than 40 million pieces had been sold – an unprecedented record.

Today it is estimated that nearly half of all households have Corelle® break- and chip-resistant dinnerware in their kitchens. To find a design that is right for you and your kitchen, visit Corelle’s Find My Style Showroom

The Boutique line offers 2 patterns – swept or cherish.  Pictured above is swept and this is the pattern I chose for myself.  I find it will go with most of the other dishes I have and have already started to use them! They washed great in the dishwasher and have a place already in my cabinets!

The new Boutique collection embodies the subtle sophistication of fine china, but remains true to the celebrated, durability heritage of Corelle. Enjoy the moment. Your best dinnerware is now available for every day.

The collection pictured above is the cherish collection.  These are square plates with a pretty flower embellishment design.  I already have round plates and wanted to stick with round for my kitchen.  The square are very modern and fun and the cherish collection was  a favorite among the bloggers present at the event.

Check out our beautiful table set for lunch! We got to eat outside and while the weather was terrible where I live it didn’t rain on south Beach! The clouds helped keep the temperature down and we enjoyed a lovely lunch together!

This was the view from the room we met in. You can see the clouds rolling in over the hotel pool. The Mondrian is located on the Intracoastal on South Beach and has an all white decor which fit in great with our modern white Corelle collections!

Make sure to check out the new Corelle Boutique line at various retailers nationwide including online at Amazon.
