by Pennie on June 25, 2013

Time flies!  As I looked on Pinterest today, I realized the Fourth of July is just next week!

Let’s start with some decorations.  And let’s start right at the front door.

As suggested by Urbanity Studios, this is a wonderful blend of patriotism and front porches (the swag and bunting were purchased at (

UrbanityI’d love hanging these on a side porch or where ever the kids are.  From Display & Costume are these whimsical fans:

Here is a great idea for picnic table flowers from Ciao Newportbeach; add a drop or two of food color to the water to make the flowers really pop!

From Stone Gable is this great country table setting.  This reminds me of Fourth get-togethers from when I was a kid, visiting relatives out in the country:

If your celebration goes into the evening how about these great retro luminaries from I Love To Create?

Now on to food – How about a great & Patriotic Fruit Salad from Family Ever After?

If you want to spend some time structuring your fruit, I love this great idea from Party City!

Here is a quintessential cookout food with a cute twist from Pizzazzerie – Hot Dog Boats!

Also from Pizzazzerie is this idea for holding dips:

Drinks are no problem for decorating.  From Recipe Girl is Red, White and Blue Sangria:

Another drink, but for the kids is this Patriotic Mocktail from Baby Center:

For dessert take a look at these Pina Colada Cupcakes from Beyond Frosting:

Or maybe you want to try this yummy Custard Tart from Epicurious:

There was so much great stuff on Pinterest for the Fourth of July celebration, I barely tapped the surface with this week’s pins!  Hope you find some great ones on  your own!
