A Few Shortcuts Weekly Recipe: Homemade Nutella

by Pennie on June 28, 2013

How about a topping for those Gluten Free Vanilla Wafers from last week?  This week  Amanda at A Few Shortcuts gives us a dairy  free version of Homemade Nutella!

I’m really interested in this recipe because while I like Nutella, for me it’s a little on the sweet side.  I’d like to try making it on my own, cutting down on the amount of sugar the recipe calls for, then adding back to taste.  Hazelnuts are not cheap, so maybe I’ll make a half recipe and see how I like it!

Each week I will highlight one of Amanda’s fabulous recipes. If you don’t have the ingredients or they’re not on sale near you, you could easily print and save the recipes for later use!

My brother has made almond butter before, so why not make Nutella? It is good to be able to cut down on ingredients by making your own.

I honestly never thought about making my own Nutella, but now I want to make some of this. It sounds like it would turn out really good and I’m sure my whole family would like this too.

Awesome! My mom was debating whether or not to buy Nutella the other day because it’s a bit expensive. We will have to try this out! Thanks! Glad I found this!

I have never tried Nutella and this would be a great way to try it to see if I like it and the grandkids. The recipes sounds wonderful.

this looks great! I recently tried Justin’s Nut Butter, which is an organic, healthier version of Nutella, but it is probably more expensive than making your own. Thanks for the great idea!
