Celebrate National Bomb Pop Day on June 27 and Giveaway

by Nicole on June 21, 2013

Bomb Pop at Publix

Did you know that June 27 is National Bomb Pop Day? Bomb Pops are a favorite from my childhood.  I lived in a great neighborhood where all of the kids played outside all day long in the summer and in the afternoons the ice cream man would come! I remember getting money from my mom and just staring at the stickers of the offerings on the outside of the truck.  I almost always chose a bomb pop!

Noah loves bomb pops so the tradition continues! Summers here in Florida can be brutal so most of our outdoor activities happen in fall and winter here! A little backwards but we do obviously have great weather here! If the weather isn’t too hot we love to drive to our local small plane airport and watch the planes take off and land.  Because they are small planes you can get pretty close to the airfield and the planes aren’t as loud at jets at a big airport.  Noah loves talking about the planes.  We also like to watch the stars.  I go online and print out a star guide and then we drive to an unpopulated area and try to find the constellations!

The red, white, and blue of bomb pops remind me of July 4th as well! Noah loved this prize package since it has Bomb Pops and also some red, white and blue items like paper straws, treat bags and paper lanterns! The traditions of summer continue!
