Nutrisystem Week 26 Nicole, Week 23 Jamie

I am so excited to announce that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger!

Nicole’s weight loss this week: lost 2 lbs.

Nicole’s Total weight loss since start of program: 28.3 lbs.

This was a good week for both of us – I stayed on the straight and narrow at work and we stuck to the plan every night for dinner which was good.  We always are good with breakfast and love the variety Nutrisystem gives.  We are running out of breakfasts and haven’t yet received our final order so I looked at the store this weekend for some good substitutes.  I was happy to find precooked frozen egg white patties and can pair that with a sandwich thin and a slice of reduced fat cheese to have a good breakfast sandwich in the morning with comparable stats to my Nutrisystem breakfasts!

We actually looked for lunch, dinner, snack and dessert items and happily were able to find some good options for each meal.  Portion control and making the right choices are the most important for us and Nutrisystem has given us a great foundation and tools to do just this once our program is over!

Jamie’s Weight Loss: 38.1lbs

I was happy we both had a good week and we stuck to the plan like clockwork.  I got in a lot of water at work and cut down my nibbles and tastes.  I am happy we will be getting our last month’s order here very shortly, most of my favorites are long gone by now! Since Nicole doesn’t like onions I bring the frozen lunches to work every day (most of them have onions) while she eats the potato lunches since she likes them best.  For breakfast I like the scones and the omelets and she prefers the donut and the waffles.  It’s good we like different things!

One thing I will be taking from my Nutrisystem experience is to have a big salad with every dinner.  It helps fill you up and it’s a great way to get in your veggies! I love to have beets and mushrooms in my salads and Nicole loves bean sprouts – who knew we’d like these veggies so much! We also started to use Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressing.  It’s just 35 calories a serving and 2 grams of fat.  The program calls for fat free dressing but we needed a variety since we eat salads every night.  We love the salsa ranch variety, it’s super creamy and you have no idea you are eating low fat/low calorie dressing!
