07/02 Pinterest Pin(s) of the Week: Summer Salads

by Pennie on July 2, 2013

I don’t know about you but I loved all the red, white and blue of last week’s post.   Everything looked so festive!  Since the holiday is still a couple of days away, I thought I’d check out some salad recipes because I’m always bringing salads to cookouts.

I went looking for some recipes that were different than the basic pasta/potato salads.  Not sure why, but I pinned a lot of recipes that have avocado in them.  Here we go!

From Edible Perspective is this yummy looking Chopped Kale Salad. It has avocados and a Creamy Almond Ginger Dressing.  Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

EdiblePerspectiveThis Lobster Avocado Salad comes to us from The Kitchen Life of a Navy Wife.  It’s nice to have a salad main dish!

Here is a Quinoa Vegetable Salad with Lemon-Basil Dressing from The Garden Grazer.  The name of the dressing sounds so refreshing!

From Not Without My Mom is this fresh looking Mom’s Tomato Cucumber Salad.  Love the name of the website!

From Val So Cal is this Mexican Corn Salad.   Yummy looking, right?

Honest Fare came up with this beautifully displayed Tangelo, Avocado, & Tomato Salad.

If you really want something striking on your table, from Licking the Plate is this Shaved Jicama & Watermelon Salad!

Here is the healthiest salad I found, Summer Veggie Slaw from Acid Reflux Recipes!

AcidRefluxRecipesJust because you have to have them, one pasta salad and one potato salad, but a little different from the norm!

From Full Fork Ahead is this BLT Pasta Salad:

Lastly from This is My Key West, here is the fabulous looking fully Loaded Baked Potato Salad!

It’s time for me to head to bed, but I really want some salad now!  If you make any of these, let me know if it is as yummy tasting as it looks here!

You have made me so hungry. I love some of the recipes above. I’m definitely going to try the Veggie Slaw. This one is going to be great when all of the veggies can get picked out of our garden.
