09/24 Pinterest Pin(s) of the Week: Baby Shower Ideas

by Pennie on September 24, 2013

Since I have no idea what Nicole’s friends and family will do for a baby shower, I thought I might as well throw some ideas out there and see if any of them stick.  Indications are that the triplets are all girls (good luck with that Jamie!) so I’m going to stay in the pink arena, but I might throw in some neutral just to be safe.  There is so much fun stuff out there for baby showers these days, it hard to know where to start.  Oh, do let me say that moms are girls and if you are having 3 girls, then the shower should be pretty darn girly!

First I found a couple of invitations I liked.  Simple but cute.  From Jay Melendez the Diaper Invitation:

diaperinviteI like this Chalk Invite from Zazzle because it will go nicely with a cake I’m going to show you a little further down:

ChalkInviteThis one  from Zazzle is also cute.  I like that it has 3 monkeys on it, to represent the triplets!

MonkeysI found these ombre pink pom poms on etsy to help with decorations- pretty darn cute!

PomPomHere are some decorations that are cute but I have no idea where they came from, it’s just a picture out there.  But I like the 3 balloons on each table, the use of tulle and the balloons inside of balloons.  Very Girly!

balloonsHere is a table setup that I like simple. but festive.  Swap out the colors a bit to work with the cake that is coming up next and it will be perfect!  This is from Top Dreamer:

ShowerDecorationsI’m not sure why but here’s a cake that I think would be perfect for Nicole from Cake Central: the Pink Zebra Cake!

Here’s another cake that I really like from Cakes Decor – Pink Strips and Dots:

You have to have some cool drinks even if they don’t contain alcohol.  So somebody in the family should  grab this book.  Preggatinis – Mixology for Moms-to-Be.

There have to be some silly games like “Baby Shower Price is Right” from Project Bambino.

Traditionally, I always played this with a clothespin, but this version is with a safety pin.  From Always Expect Moore – Don’t Say Cute!

This game is set up for having a baby boy, but it can be changed up for girls easily.  Also from Always Expect Moore, it’s called How Handsome.  You have to guess which traits the mom-to-be wants the babies to inherit from her or from the dad.  I don’t want to go all sexist and call it “How Pretty”, I think I’d go generic like “How Wonderful”.

And last but not least a little favor to take home.  I really love the look of these party favors.  It doesn’t really matter what is in them, because really, how cute are they?  From Small Fry and Co:

Thanks Pinterest, for having so many ideas that you crashed my computer today!

What a lot of cute ideas. We have a very large family and I will be passing a lot of these ideas on to family members.
