Just because this (below) was the first thing that popped up on my Pinterest window today, it seemed like a good time to do a post on interesting yarn art projects that I’ve seen.
I have to say, this is actually lovely and looks like it would be quite comfy, but I can’t imagine the mindset of the person who would want to take on such a project. I don’t know, maybe it would be quick & easy, but it just doesn’t seem like it to me. The pattern is from Simple Knits with a Twist: Unique Projects for Creative Knitters by Erika Knight which can be found on Amazon.
Now I’m a curvy gal, so this would never do for me. And really it seems a tad too warm for a beach coverup. But maybe with a pair of nice tailored pants and the right shoes on a tall, trim person it would be a great look. This is from Knit the Future:
Just about every baby I know needs an Elvis coif and thanks to Alison Jenkins, now they can have one even if they don’t have any hair. All you need is a copy of Wacky Baby Knits: 20 Knitted Designs for the Fashion-conscious Toddler, also available at Amazon. Thank you, Thank you, very much.
While the next item is unbelievably, stinking cute, I can’t see putting the time into an item that really, will probably only be worn once? But really stinking cute! Mermaid Cocoon Knitting Pattern from www.4aSong.etsy.com
I really don’t know what to say about this one. It’s from Strange Knitting Projects on Vitamin-Ha.com. It actually kind of freaks me out.
Being the geek and longtime Trekie that I am I appreciate this next item, though still on the edge. From Yarn Songs – The Patterns: Spock Ears!
From Live Journal, Ms. Crafty Galore is very concerned about the health and well-being of her pumpkins sitting outside in the cold. So of course she created a Pumpkin Sweater.
Well on that happy note, I will end for today, sending you out to search for your own interesting projects on the most time consuming website in my universe: Pinterest!
