How many teachers or classrooms have you heard of that lack supplies they need to create an engaging, memorable learning experience for their students? Probably too many. That’s why SONIC Drive-In has brought back LimeadesforLearning.com, a philanthropic initiative in partnership with DonorsChoose.org that funds teacher projects to pay for necessary supplies and tools that might otherwise be paid for out of their own pockets.
With this year’s funding, SONIC will have contributed more than $3 million to this initiative. SONIC customers can make a difference in their local communities by voting online Sept. 23, 2013 through Oct. 27, 2013, at LimeadesforLearning.com, for their favorite projects submitted by teachers in need. In 2013, more than a half million dollars in SONIC donations will go toward public school classroom projects around the country this year!
There are three ways to vote:
- Create an account on LimeadesforLearning.com with a valid email address and receive one vote per day.
- Visit a SONIC Drive-In and receive two extra vote codes on a bag sticker.
- Vote online 10 times and get two extra vote codes via email.
If that isn’t easy enough, SONIC will donate an additional $100,000 to fund even more projects AND give a free Cherry Limeade to all voters if Limeades for Learning receives 5 million votes by Oct. 20 — so let’s get out the vote!
Now that I know SONIC is supporting Donors Choose (one of my very favorite places to contribute money!), I’m going to be drinking Limeades everyday. Won’t you join me?
