The Stork for Fertility Issues

by Nicole on October 23, 2013

Did you know that 1 in 6 couples has troubles conceiving? You know that Jamie and I had trouble and I am now pregnant with triplets after doing IVF.  IVF and other fertility treatments are super expensive though and depending on the reasons for your infertility you may want to consider The Stork!

The Stork is now a prescription device but will be over the counter soon to assist couples having trouble to conceive.

Directly from the company, here is the premise:

The Stork Conception System is indicated for assisted insemination in instances where low sperm count, sperm immobility, or hostile vaginal environment has been diagnosed. The system (cervical cap in a condom-like silicone sheath) is used to collect semen into a cervical cap, and then deliver the cap to the outside of the cervix as an aid to conception. It is to be used at home following physician instructions.

The Stork is FDA authorized and works without any drugs.  It is relatively inexpensive and easy to use – they compare the collection to like a condom and the delivery like inserting a tampon.  The price is approximately $210 per cycle which is definitely less than IUI and IVF.  The Stork sounds to me like a great thing to try out if you’re having trouble conceiving.  Most doctors make you try for 1 year if you’re under 35 or 6 month if you’re over 35 and those months can be torture when you want a baby right then! Once The Stork is available over the counter you’ll be able to get help even before seeing the doctor!

It’s easy to purchase The Stork – you just contact your healthcare provider for prescription and then purchase The Stork from the website. You’ll choose from one device or a one-month supply of three individually packaged Stork devices priced at $79.99 for one or $210 for a one-month supply. Pre-natal vitamins are also available for both the male and female on The Stork store website. You just submit a copy of the prescription through email, fax or mail for verification by Rinovum and The Stork ships directly to your home via overnight or ground depending on what option you choose.

Here is a video you can watch about The Stork to learn more!

I had never heard of The Stork and was excited to learn more about it.  Infertility is one of the toughest thing I have faced in my life and something I don’t wish on anyone.  Having a device like The Stork allows for earlier intervention and hopefully will help a lot of couples conceive at a lower price than traditional fertility treatments!
