A Few Shortcuts Weekly Recipe: 30 Minute Dinner Rolls

by Pennie on November 15, 2013

With the holiday dinners looming Amanda at A Few Shortcuts has come up with a great shortcut recipe!

30 Minute Dinner Rolls sound like a miracle.  I mean how can you have homemade rolls in 30 minutes? Amanda had her own doubts as she adapted this recipe from another site.  Apparently her fears were unfounded and they turned out fabulously!  Since I feel there is not much of anything better in life than freshly bake bread slathered lightly spread with butter, I’m going to try these very, very, soon!

Each week I will highlight one of Amanda’s fabulous recipes. If you don’t have the ingredients or they’re not on sale near you, you could easily print and save the recipes for later use!

Well, I’ll probably try them after the holidays. This year my husband wanted me to make something other than my standard Parker House Rolls. He wanted sourdough rolls for a change. So found a recipe online, and have my sourdough starter ready. Now need to get busy tomorrow and get them done. They won’t take a half hour though. Dough has to rise two different times, and that takes 2 hours total. Yet, I don’t think the rolls themselves will take long to do. Baking time is 22-25 minutes. So I’ll have things to do, but split up sort of so other things can be done in between.

Looks very yummy. I always have problems with yeast bread.
