I Took the HP Ink Challenge

For the last 5 weeks I have been participating in the HP Ink Challenge! HP sent me 2 of the same 3510 printers along with a new set of cartridges and a set that was basically empty.  They provided a giftcard for me to go and get the empty cartridges refilled and then test the new set versus the refilled set.  We have always been an HP printer kind of family and were excited to see how the refilled cartridges stacked up!

It was super easy to get the 3510’s installed on our home network and they were up and running in just minutes.  I took the empty cartridges to Walgreens where they refilled them for me.  Each week had different assignments to print and compare.  The first week’s assignment went well and I didn’t really see any differences in the printing between the new and the refilled cartridges.  The second week I had a major problem and the printer would no longer recognize the refilled cartridges! This was the end of the challenge for me and I won’t be buying refilled cartridges anytime soon!

This has been a sponsored post. HP provided the printers, ink and gift card to get the cartridges refilled.

WOW – That says alot about using refilled cartridges. I have heard both good and bad things about getting ink refilled for printers, but this takes the cake. No refills for me either.

I have often wondered how well the refilled cartridges worked. Sounds like I will just keep buying new ones and not paying to have them refilled. Thanks for the review!
