12/3 Pinterest Pin(s) of the Week: Christmas Ornaments

by Pennie on December 3, 2013

Let’s jump right into Christmas this week with some DIY ornaments.  I still have ornaments that I made when I was a kid to hang on my tree.  I think it’s fun for kids and creates lots of family memories.

Saw this right off from Bead and Cord.  Simple, cute and you could do lots of variations.  It would also make a nice addition to package wrapping or an addition to a hostess gift!

I found this one to be pretty cool as well.  It’s from Mindoel on Flickr, so there are no instructions.  I think you could sort of figure out that the outer pieces are longer than the inner pieces.  So when you glue (?) them all together, they fan out into this pretty cool shape.  Add some string for hanging and you are all set.  Think of all the different paper you could use to make these!

From One Artsy Mama, I totally love these Bottle Cap Snowman Ornaments.  They are cute, easy and fun! I would love having these on my tree!
Ashley at Blog A La Cart created these Paper Towel Stars.  A great way to upcycle a paper towel or toilet paper roll and something totally fun for the kids!

How about Rudolf for your tree?  From For What It’s Worth…or Not, here is a cute way to get some use from old miscellaneous puzzle pieces by turning theminto something really cute!

These are really festive and colorful!  From The Swell Life are DIY Crayon Ornaments.  Imagine the variations you could have!

If you want your tree to smell especially yummy, then try these Cinnamon Applesauce Heart Ornaments from Katy Elliot!

Lest we forget the old standby, Flutter Flutter has reminded us of the Painted Pinecone Ornament.  I especially love the ribbon used on this one.

Hope these sparked some ideas for you. Don’t make yourself crazy shopping in the next few weeks.  But you can go crazy on Pinterest!
