Chicken Soup for the Soul Meal Builders and Giveaway

Sesame-Ginger Pork Chops


  • 2 cups Chicken Soup for the Soul Sesame-Ginger Meal Builders™ cooking sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 5–6 thick pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup red peppers, cut in strips
  • 3/4 cup onion, sliced thin
  • 3/4 cup snow peas
  • 3/4 cup sliced carrots
  • 4 cups of cooked rice


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Heat oil and butter in a 12-inch skillet.
  3. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  4. Brown pork chops in the skillet on both sides (about 4 minutes each side).
  5. Transfer pork chops to a 9x13-inch ovenproof casserole.
  6. Pour all but 1/4 cup of Chicken Soup for the Soul Sesame-Ginger Meal Builders cooking sauce evenly over pork chops.
  7. Toss the vegetables in the remaining cooking sauce and distribute evenly over pork chops.
  8. Cover casserole with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 7–10 minutes or until pork reads 155 degrees F with a meat thermometer.
  9. Serve with rice.
