SONIC’s Wacky Pack Kids’ Meals with Scholastic Books and Giveaway

by Pennie on February 3, 2014

Sometimes getting your child to sit down for some quality reading time can be an uphill battle, especially with the ever-growing list of distractions that might sound more entertaining to a kid, like video games, surfing the web or chatting with their friends. But reading is just as crucial as it’s ever been!

SONIC is now giving kids and parents a chance for a quality reading session over some classic drive-in food. Through Feb. 17, SONIC’s beloved Wacky Pack kids’ meals will include one of four limited-edition Scholastic books – what better way to sneak in fun reading time than at the drive-in?

The Scholastic books are also available for download as e-books!

Education is an important focus for the SONIC brand — after the fifth year of its successful Limeades for Learning program, SONIC has donated over $3,540,314 to fund 5,735 classroom projects in partnership with That means 5,735 more classrooms have the supplies they need to make learning effective and interactive – SONIC is proud to have helped and is excited to continue to support education for children.

My grandson and I had a chance to look at the books for the 9+ years readers.  These books are too advanced for his current reading skills but he enjoyed them just the same.  There are lots of engaging pictures and the descriptions of the subjects are very clear.  For words that the reader may not know, there is a simple, specific definition. These are books that he will enjoy now and going forward.  As an amateur sky watcher, I really enjoyed the one Light-Up Zodiac but he really liked Bug Spotter!
