Listerine 21 Day Oral Care Challenge Recap

by Nicole on March 6, 2014

whole pic

Last month I told you all about the Listerine 21 Day Oral Care Challenge I was taking part in.  For 21 days I was going to use Listerine products as my mouth care routine and then report back about it.  I told you all about how my teeth suffered during my pregnancy due to a water aversion.  I had way too many sugary drinks!

I learned that brushing misses 75% of your mouth and so it’s important to have an oral care routine that includes a good mouthwash and floss! I bought the supplies I needed for the challenge at Target:

• LISTERINE® Antiseptic
• LISTERINE® WHITENING® Original Gel Fluoride Anticavity Toothpaste
• REACH® Floss

antiseptic reach smart rinse toothpaste

I brushed and flossed and used mouthwash at least twice a day during the challenge and so did Noah! I was happy he was on board with the challenge as I have noticed some plaque build up on his teeth and he is way too young for that!

We both loved the products we tried.  Noah is obsessed with the Smart Rinse.  He says he loves the flavor and it makes him feel really clean.  I am happy he likes it so much.  He is also getting better at brushing his teeth and I don’t feel like he is just giving a cursory brush.  As far as me, I flossed twice a day which is HUGE for me! The Reach floss was so smooth and made flossing a lot easier.  The Antiseptic rinse was super fresh and left my mouth feeling extremely clean.  The toothpaste wasn’t too gritty and also seemed to make my mouth feel very clean.  I am definitely now hooked on these Listerine products and will be keeping them as part of our oral care routine!

I had noticed some swelling around my gums prior to the challenge and am happy to report it’s not there anymore! I really think the Listerine products are good for my mouth and will continue to use them.  I go to the dentist in a few weeks and haven’t been since before I got pregnant.  I am hoping for an all clear!

Please join me on the challenge! Taking the challenge can also help children in need. For every person who posts a “Swish Selfie” to LISTERINE® Brand’s Facebook page, LISTERINE® Brand will make a $5.00 contribution to Oral Health America’s Smiles Across America® program, up to $85,000, toward their goal of connecting 210,000 children with needed oral health services in 2014. While you’re on the Listerine Facebook page you can can learn more about the challenge, the partnership with Oral Health America, and check out a roundup of the best “Swish Selfie” photos of the week.
