Disney’s The Pirate Fairy Sneak Peek/Available Now

by Pennie on April 7, 2014

In celebration of Disney’s The Pirate Fairy releasing on Blu-ray Combo Pack on April 1, we’re excited to share an Extended Peek of the new film below. The Pirate Fairy features the voices of Christina Hendricks and Tom Hiddleston and an original song by Natasha Bedingfield.

From the world of “Peter Pan” comes “The Pirate Fairy,” a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, “The Pirate Fairy” set sail on April 1, 2014.

Nicole’s take:  With 3 little girls I know there are going to be a lot of fairies in our future! I was excited to watch The Pirate Fairy and thought that  the story was a good one.  The animation was excellent and I love he strength of the female heroine.  It is so important to have a story like this about females who conquer it all as a role model for young girls! This is a great movie for my girls to see and I can’t wait to share it with them as they get older!

i really like how the latest crop of princesses and fairies are not depending on a prince to rescue them. They are tough independent ladies and I think that is a great example for little girls
